Tomlinson Excited to Watch Super Bowl on His Vizio

By Nick Maloney

Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson may not be playing in the Super Bowl, but with his new high-def Vizio TV he says it’ll feel just like being there.

“It’s crisp, it’s clear.  It’s almost like being on the field.  Except I won’t be sitting on the sideline pouting about an injury with a Darth Vader helmet on, I’ll be on my couch with my concubine,” he said.

The running back admitted he signed on with Vizio as the face of their product so he’d have a new free TV on which to watch the playoffs.

“I assumed we’d be out after the first round, we never win the big game.  I just wanted a nice free TV so I could watch the rest of the playoffs on it.  That’s what I call planning ahead.”

The New England Patriots however, won’t know what watching the Super Bowl on television is like.

“I love the commercials, it’s always kind of a win-lose situation.  I’m happy we’re there, but then I don’t get to see the ads and do Gisele during halftime.  People used to imitate that ‘BUD-WEIS-ER’ ad with the frogs, and I totally got made fun of cuz I had no idea what it was, I had to YouTube it,” Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said.

Tomlinson was still bitter about the loss to the Patriots last week.

“They were dancing around on the logo at midfield, and even though it wasn’t ours this time, I took it personally.   Some team employee worked hard to paint that thing, and even though he was celebrating with the team after they won, he must have been crying on the inside.  He should get a cool shield like I have on my helmet.  People think I wear it to be intimidating, but it’s really so people can’t see me cry like a baby when we lose.  I’m so emotional.”
