Ice skating fans attending the European Figure Skating Championships, were shocked by what they saw on the ice.
It wasn’t enough to see the odds on favorite pair of Frederica Faiella and Massimo Scali falter during the competition, but the reaction of Faiella to the pressure of competition was even more stunning.
After Scali stumbled on a routine move, Faiella apparently let loose on weeks of frustration involving her ice dancing partner by performing a tombstone piledriver on him in the center of the ice.
Scali suffered a concussion and needed several stitches to close a gash on the back of his head.
Scali later said, “I bet if I weighed more than 120 pounds and didn’t have to wear all of these scarf-thingy’s all the time, she would take me more seriously as a man.”
