Bobby Petrino’s Wife: “That’s Not the Only Thing He’s Left Unfinished”

By Rusty Weiss

The man who recently left the Atlanta Falcons in the middle of his first season, a man who once signed a ten-year contract to coach the Louisville Cardinals and then left them for the NFL less than a year later, has a very similar lifestyle his wife recently revealed.

Becky Petrino made that revelation in an interview early Monday morning with Lame Sports saying, “Head Coach in the NFL? That’s not the only thing he’s stopped before he was finished.”

Bobby Petrino recently bolted from the Atlanta Falcons organization after a mere 13 games into his NFL coaching career.

His wife continued, “If it’s not the basement, it’s the bathroom that needs painting. If it’s not an oil change on the SUV, it’s the lawn that needs mowing.”

“On a side note,” Mrs. Petrino added, “The new SUV was Bobby’s idea. We had a two year lease on a Volvo, and he broke that three months later when he saw a new Escape.”

The couple’s daughter Katie chimed in, “Dad’s never finished a whole meal at the dinner table. As far back as I can remember he’d sit down with us, and then Mom would bring out the meatloaf. Next thing you know, Dad’s seat was empty. I thought, ‘Where did he go now?’ and Mom would just roll her eyes and mumble something about your father is nowhere to be found on meatloaf night.”

Son Bobby Jr. agrees, “It’s really no surprise that he left the team. What’s surprising is that he lasted 13 games. He never made it through half of my Little League season.”

“Trust me,” Becky Petrino added. “Four kids was a complete fluke. We had to go to a clinic. 18 years of marriage and the guy couldn’t even finish, well … you know what I’m talking about.”
